My new bike

This is the new bike - Look 566 in stealth black and red. Matching saddle that cost a few quid extra ( yes I'm a bike tart ) and I've bought a new helmet ( needed one for UK anyway ) in matt black and red!!!!
I hope the photos work, I'll do some more out in the daylight when I get chance.
Does it ride well? Of course, but then I don't have the experience to judge. I love it, feels smooth and comfortable after 50 or 60ks ( so far daylight has been my restriction ). the SRAM works perfectly and even though I have 105 on the Bianchi in France I haven't made too many mis changes!

My big regret is that I have to split my time between Uk and France and even when I'm in UK a lot of the time Im away from home studying for my Master's! So I get little chance on the bike. But I'm enjoying it.

Just like to say thanks to everyone that helped with my choice. I would have been lost and undoubtedly made a mistake if it had not been for you people. thanks again

Lovely bike... That's a lot of spacers on the steerer but if it's comfortable for you then nowt wrong with that, Nothing worse than looking "right" and riding wrong!! Sell the Mavic skewers now and get good money for them before they start rattling(common fault) But all in all a great bike. Nice choice.

Nice looking bike, SRAM is good isn't it! One question though, if that is your bike, who is the little runt in your avatar picture?

Oh yes, that was me competing in the Army champs in 1982!

Very nice bike.. very understated against the usual white 'look at me' bikes.. although if it was mine i'd probably have white bar tape and saddle.. and ruin the look :)

There's nothing wrong with white bikes, especially when getting nearly 1/3 off the price as it's last year's colour (that and the tyres are the only difference between the 2011 and 2012 CAAD10 3, oh and the price went up 100). I like to think of it as being sensible with money rather than being showoff-y, the missus doesn't agree with the first bit as being sensible would be not getting a new bike at all.

FMiL: what size is the Look? It seems a much bigger size than my bikes.

Allez,i agree with you,and if i was looking for my Ribble carbon now i'd probably have one of the white ones... But,it is nice to see a subtle all black bike..very understated with the red on black decals.
..and a matching black and red helmet.. very nice.

    Absolutely agree with you :)
My Allez is white, black and a bit of red. I didn't really want a white bike again (the 2012 CAAD10 3 is matt black/black) but then again value for money wise on the 2011 bike ... well let's just say: You can take the man out of Yorkshire, but you can't take Yorkshire out of the man!
